About this course:
The SysML v2 Accelerator™ Model User Training Course is an intensive, practitioner-focused introduction to the OMG Systems Modeling Language, Version 2 (SysML v2). The course builds a strong conceptual and practical foundation in the language itself, treating SysML as a precise communication medium for expressing system design decisions clearly, consistently, and unambiguously to diverse stakeholders.
SysML v2 is a purpose-built language grounded in the Kernel Modeling Language (KerML) and is taught from first principles, without reliance on SysML v1. The course emphasizes definition versus usage, structure versus behavior, and consistent modeling patterns across domains. Participants complete the course prepared to read, create, and reason about SysML v2 models as contributors to an MBSE team.
This course teaches SysML v2 in sufficient depth and breadth to prepare learners for the SysMLv2 Model User certification exam.

Students will learn:
- How to read, interpret, and create SysML v2 models that express system structure, behavior, constraints, requirements, and usage consistently across domains
- Principles of SysML v2 as a language, grounded in KerML, including definition vs. usage, structure vs. behavior, and specialization mechanisms
- How to apply SysML v2 constructs to communicate system design decisions clearly and precisely to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- How SysML v2 supports model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) through integrated structural, behavioral, and analytical modeling
- How to navigate and reason about multi‑module system models, including internal architecture, behaviors, states, cases, constraints, and requirements
- The conceptual fundamentals needed to participate effectively as a model user or contributor on SysML v2–based MBSE efforts
